East Coast Discovery

The East Coast Discovery Pass allows unlimited travel in one direction with this six month pass. Simply choose from one of the six sector travel options available (shown below in the table).

East Coast Discovery Pass benefits

1. Travel can be taken over a six month period.
2. Unlimited stop-overs in a single direction of travel (i.e. north or south) in economy seats.
3. Free travel on coastal coach connections that link the main east coast rail line with Eden, Forster, Port Maccquarie, Yamba, Byron Bay, Surfers Paradise, the Fraser Coast, the Whitsundays and Yeppoon.
4. One journey on Brisbane's City Network service when in posession of a valid Queensland Rail ticket to connect with a Queensland Rail Traveltrain service.
5. One journey on Sydney's Cityrail service with a valid Countrylink ticket to connect with a Countrylink service. Exceptional value for money.
6. Freedom and flexibility - travel at your own pace and hop on or off the train when and where you like.

Travel conditions

• The East Coast Discovery Pass is available for unlimited travel on CountryLink and Queensland Rail east coast services in one direction only, either north or south, between locations endorsed on the ticket. (Travel on the Cairns Tilt Train is applicable however surcharges apply)
• Travel on Sydney CityRail services is only allowed in conjunction with a connecting CountryLink service
• Travel is not available on Queensland Rail Brisbane City network service and Melbourne metropolitan services
• Use of this pass must begin within six months of the date of issue and be completed within six months from the first validity date.
• This pass is available on mainline CountryLink and Queensland Rail East Coast Rail and Integrated Coach services only.

Cancellations / Refunds

Unused passes receive a full refund, but once the pass has been validated (first leg travelled) or lost, no refund is issued
